 Azure DevOps Engineer - Location - Malaysia

(Full time contractor)

Role Overview

We are seeking Azure DevOps Engineers to support infrastructure automation, CI/CD setup, and environment management for our data and AI platforms hosted on Azure. This role will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient deployment of data pipelines and AI components across multiple environments (sandbox, staging, and production). You will work closely with data engineering and IT teams to enable automated deployments, environment segregation, and monitoring solutions aligned with enterprise security and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and AI workloads using Azure DevOps

• Support infrastructure-as-code deployment using Terraform.

• Manage environment segregation (development, staging, production) and enforce access controls and deployment governance

• Automate build, testing, and release processes for Airflow, Databricks, and related components

• Collaborate with the data engineering team to optimize deployment workflows and troubleshoot environment issues

• Establish monitoring and alerting mechanisms for data pipeline performance and infrastructure reliability

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in Azure

• Strong command of Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline automation

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Experience supporting data platform deployments (Databricks, Airflow, data warehouses)

• Understanding of networking, identity management, and security practices in Azure.

• Strong scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash)

• Prior experience working with multi-environment setups and production-grade deployments

Engagement Details

• Location: Malaysia (hybrid / remote)

• Duration: 6–12 months

• Engagement type: Contractor / freelancer via partner vendor

• Start date: Immediate or within 4 weeks
